How TexasParcels handles information across the marketplace, parcel enrichment, and account workflows.

Effective May 28, 2026

1. Overview

TexasParcels ("we," "us," or "our") operates a Texas-focused land marketplace that lets landowners, buyers, brokers, and real estate professionals review, enrich, list, and discover Texas parcels with GIS-ready context. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, marketplace, parcel enrichment workflows, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), how we use that information, and the choices you have.

By using the Services you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you create an account, sign in with email and password, or use a supported identity provider (Apple or Google), we collect your name, email address, profile details, role (for example, buyer, seller, or real estate professional), and authentication identifiers.
  • Listing and parcel information. When you enrich a parcel or publish a listing, we collect property details you provide such as county, city, acreage, frontage, asking price, description, images, and contact preferences. Some of this data is publicly displayed on the marketplace listing.
  • GIS and map data. We collect, derive, and display parcel boundaries, imagery, floodplain context, terrain, road frontage, vegetation, water features, and similar mapped attributes sourced from public records, partners, and our enrichment pipeline.
  • Payment information. If you purchase an enrichment, listing, or featured placement, our payment processor collects the payment details directly. We receive a transaction reference and status but do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications. Messages you send us (support requests, inquiries on listings, feedback) and the metadata around them.
  • Usage and device data. Pages viewed, filters applied, parcels analyzed, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device identifiers, and similar technical information.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember filter preferences, and understand how the Services are used.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the marketplace, parcel enrichment, and account features.
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect the security of the Services.
  • Generate parcel-ready enrichment, listing presentations, and map context.
  • Process payments for enrichment, listing, and featured placement packages.
  • Respond to support requests and operational notices about your account or listings.
  • Improve search relevance, filtering, and overall Services quality.
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Information

We share information in the following limited ways:

  • Public listings. Information you publish in a marketplace listing (property description, imagery, GIS context, location detail) is shown publicly on TexasParcels and may be indexed by search engines.
  • Service providers. Authentication, hosting, analytics, payment processing, email delivery, and mapping providers that operate the Services on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety. Disclosures required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of TexasParcels, our users, and the public.
  • Business transfers. If we engage in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Public Records and GIS Data

A core part of the Services is presenting Texas parcel data — including parcel boundaries, county and city context, road and water features, floodplain context, and terrain. This information is sourced from public records, government datasets, mapping partners, and our own enrichment pipeline.

GIS-derived attributes are provided for informational purposes and may not reflect the most current public records. Always verify critical attributes with the appropriate authority before relying on them for a transaction.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may impact functionality such as staying signed in or remembering filter preferences.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • Update your profile information from the account area.
  • Edit or remove a listing you have published.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential email communications using the link in those messages.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@texasparcels.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.

8. Data Retention

We retain account, listing, and transaction information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Public listing content may remain in caches and indexes outside our control for a period after removal.

9. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services or by email.
